If you want to go to a specific movie, music festival, concert or have a special dinner to celebrate with friends that we do not currently have an event for, we can support you to organise this.
You can do this either in a group or individually – The Choice is Yours, You’ve Got OPTIONS!

Kyle loves the Footy and wants to go and support his team – Melbourne Storm
Social Connections has been able to support Kyle to check the game schedule to see when they play in Sydney (as this does not happen very often), purchase tickets and organise public transport to get to and from games.
Kyle generally likes to go by himself, but throughout the year he will invite his peers to join him to go and watch a few games.
NEW EXPERIENCES
Trip to the Mardi Gras
Roxy has always wanted to attend and participate in the Sydney Mardi Gras
Social Connections was able to match Roxy with the right support worker so that she was able to fully participate and immerse herself in the experience.
Roxy had such a great time that she will be returning next year and has invited some of her peers to join her. Roxy invited Tara along who attended with her this year!
On the night Social Connections supported the birthday group to attend the event safely and ensure Kim and her friends had a good time.
Celebrate your way
Special Occasion
Kim wanted to go out for a special dinner at the Club on her birthday.
Working with Social Connections Kim created her invitation list. She was supported to invite her friend and book the venue she wanted. Kim organised her cake and own decorations and was supported by Social Connections to ensure they got to the venue.
SOCIALISE WITH OTHERS
Waves Disco
Run by people with disability for people with a disability – Waves All Inclusive Disco has been happening regularly on the Central Coast for the last few years.
A few participants approached Social Connections to see if we could support them to attend this event. In consultation with those attending, Social Connections organises the transport, dinner out and support during the event.
Social Connections have been supporting these individuals to meet other people with a disability in a fun and safe environment allowing them to expand their social network.
